Athlone based precision engineering firm M&V Medical Devices Ltd celebrates its 10th anniversary in business by securing contracts with three leading multinationals, and winning additional export orders. Turnover has grown to 3.2 million in 2012, up from 50k when the company was first established. This celebration coincides with the move to a new state of the art premises and up graded to new CNC turning machines.
M&V Medical Devices Ltd is an Athlone-based precision engineering company, which specialises in manufacturing components for the global medical device sector. It is part of a mini medical device hub in Athlone, and the company has benefitted from an active co-operation with Enterprise Ireland and the Irish Medical Device Association. The company expects to double its turnover in the next 24 months while at the same time increase employment. SMEs are the engine for growth of the Irish economy and bodies like Enterprise Ireland and IMDA have supported us every step of the way. The headlines should not be just about the multinationals, says Managing Director Vivian OConnor who himself has more than 30 years experience in the sector.

As an indigenous Irish company, were proud weve been able to rise to the challenge of satisfying the most demanding, multinational clients and to confidently sell to export markets, a vital skill in todays challenging business environment, he added.
