What a ‘no deal’ Brexit means for Data Compliance

The UK has yet to decide how it leaves the EU. In the absence of a UK-EU ‘Withdrawal Agreement’ (or a ‘no-deal’ Brexit scenario), Irish firms should consider additional safeguard mechanisms to legally transfer personal data to the UK (including Northern Ireland) after 29 March 2019.

Ibec is partnering with the Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC) to highlight this data protection issue and to present guidance in the event of a no-deal Brexit scenario.
